This privacy notice provides information about how your personal information is collected, stored and shared. These standards of privacy and confidentiality are compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Data Protection Act (1998) and the British Psychological Society Clinical Psychology and Case Notes Guidance on Good Practice (DCP, 2000).

The lawful basis for processing your information

I have a legitimate interest in the personal data that I collect as a Clinical Psychologist to provide psychological assessment and intervention, in accordance with the code of confidentiality in line with my governing body. No information you provide is passed on without your consent. I will never sell your information to others.

How I store your personal information

Your privacy is taken very seriously. Your personal information is stored in compliance with EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) rules.

How long is information stored for?

Your information will be held securely for 7 years. This is in line with guidance provided by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). After this, your information will be securely deleted.

Your right of access - You have the right to ask for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that I transfer the personal information you gave me to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.
